Fresh Cornish Lobster
Lobster is hailed as a delicacy by many, particularly when it’s freshly caught, giving its meat a sweet and succulent flavour. So, when you’re sourcing this special shellfish, you want it fresh out of the sea! Luckily for us, Fresh Cornish Fish, a fishmonger of over 30 years, supplies freshly landed Newlyn Lobster caught by lobster pots in Mount’s Bay. Available to reserve online, your lobster will be cooked to order and sent straight to your door in insulated packaging, ready for you to savour!
Prized Cornish Meat
When you’ve worked hard all week, you deserve a treat, and this could be in the form of the Weekend in a Box meat box by James Kittow, 5th Generation Butcher & Grazier. Containing all the essentials for a breakfast fry-up, a Saturday steak night, and a Sunday roast, this cleverly thought-out bundle consists of Dry Cured Cornish Back Bacon, Pen ‘n’ Tinny Porker Sausages, award-winning Hogs Pudding, a Pork Leg Roasting Joint and two Cornish Grass-Fed Beef Sirloin Steaks. Meat lovers rejoice!
Ethical Cornish Flour
Flour is a versatile pantry staple that we can’t do without, especially the natural stuff from family-run business, Cornish Golden Grains! Grown and milled in Cornwall from heritage wheat, this high-quality flour is excellent for sourdough, cakes, biscuits, and a world of other sweet and savoury recipes, bakes, and sauces!
Try the Combi Box which contains Cornish Golden Grains’ rustic white and wholemeal wheat flours – they’re quite likely to become firm favourites in your kitchen!
Restaurant Quality Meat
Popular with some of the region’s top chefs, Primrose Herd pork has extraordinary flavour, stemming from the farm’s philosophy that meat should be produced slowly and naturally. This non-intensive approach has earned Primrose many awards for their meat and you can sample some of their popular products in the Classics Meatbox. From traditional pork sausages and pork chops to rib-eye steaks and leg of lamb, this is a super way to stock up the fridge and freezer for hearty meals with family and friends.
Iconic Cornish Cheese
Cornish through and through, Yarg is a mouthwatering semi-hard cheese that’s recognised by its unique leaf surround. If you’re ready to taste the best, we wholeheartedly recommend Lynher Dairies’ handmade Yargs – check out both their traditional Nettle Leaf Yarg and their Wild Garlic Leaf Yarg.
Using rich, creamy milk from their own herd of Ayrshire cows, Lynher’s Yargs have a gorgeous crumbly consistency and a fresh, lemony taste that you won’t be able to resist! Order a Large Mixed Box of both and turn your cheeseboard Cornish!
Party Pleasing Cheese
Saving you several trips to the deli and farmers market, the Cornish Cheese Co. has done the hard work and created the Large Cornish Cheeseboard that’s made up of 5 artisan cheeses from around Cornwall, a jar of Tacklements Chutney, and a packet of Popti Cornish Sea Salt Savoury Thins.
With 3 of Cornish Cheese Co’s own cheeses – their delicious Brie, Cheddar, and Cornish Blue, plus Lynher Dairies’ beautiful Yarg and a tasty Cornish Gouda, you’re all set for the ultimate cheese and wine party!
A Cornish Brew
In 2012, the British Government launched an initiative called GREAT, which aimed to showcase everything Britain has to offer. Off the back of this, Tregothnan Tea Garden in Cornwall was asked to make a new tea product, and Tregothnan’s Great British Teabags were born!
With a full-bodied flavour, this refreshing tea has been described as “the new Darjeeling” and has become the world’s first true British tea!
Chocolate Heaven
Who doesn’t love a flapjack, especially when it’s chocolatey? Taking the sweet treat world by storm, The Cornish Flapjack Shack’s gooey Chocolate Flapjacks are hand-baked to perfection and have chocolate melted into their core or smothered across the top!
Pick up a box of 5 or 10 from either Cornish Flapjack Shack’s new shop in Helston, Porthleven Beach Hut, or place your order online. You’ll see why they’ve won a Taste of the West Gold award for the last 3 years in a row!
Handcrafted Cornish Vodka
Cornish Rock Classic Vodka (40% ABV) is inspired by the makers’ beloved stomping ground, Rock Beach in North Cornwall. Crafted with pure Cornish spring water, this vodka delivers a smooth, silky finish that’s perfect for sipping neat from the freezer or as a base in your favourite cocktails. And as it’s distilled and bottled by hand in Wadebridge, you know you’re getting a spirit that’s authentically Cornish with a true taste of the region.
Cornish Craft Gin
As the apple harvesting season is in full swing, it seems fitting to reach for Elemental Distilling Co’s flavoursome Apple Gin (38% ABV.) This multi-award-winning spirit is infused with the flavour of tart apples and sweet elderflower, producing a delicious aroma of vanilla with an undertone of juniper and citrus. For the perfect Autumn drink, serve it with elderflower tonic and a slice of crisp apple!
