Beautiful Cornish Pottery

Polgear Pottery is nestled in the Cornish Countryside, in a converted milking parlour, surrounded by flora and fauna.

The stoneware clay is sourced a short distance away in St Agnes, at Dobles. We try to ensure that we are sustainable and keep our carbon footprint as low as possible.

Networking with other Cornish Companies is extremely important to us. Just one example is using hand made local soaps to accompany our soap dishes.

Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Martyn

I came to pottery late in life, although I had a strong connection to art and design throughout my career. My passion for pottery came from a chance meeting with a Master Potter, who recognised how natural I was and encouraged me to pursue this further and become a Cornish artist specialising in pottery.

My inspiration comes from the shapes, and colours of the Cornish countryside from the striking sunsets, to the ever changing coastline. Martyn Henniker BAHons, - Proud Made in Cornwall Member.
